Friends, Organizational process maturity is an important aspect of your company (and its suppliers/subcontractors). To help facilitate organizational process maturity, the management should consider a number of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards, a gap analysis to determine any deficiencies which should be corrected by the organization, and possible external evaluation by an ISO Registrar, Inc. to facilitate ultimate certification. Should the organization be software development/integration based, it should consider the adaptation to the Software Engineering Institutes' Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) to help establish and improve organizational processes, performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. Many organizations endorse ISO 9001:2008 and/or the CMMI for these models are very compatible, most beneficial, and provides a competitive edge to the implementer in the open market.

Thanks for the good info. With growth always comes the need for process improvement - particularly with a heavy emphasis on serving large enterprises. Will also share your thoughts with others internally.

Ms. Kristi Grigsby:
As a quality engineering consultant, specializing in software development/integration, organizational assessments/improvement, training, and other attributes, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss various possibilities with Neighborhood America or other clients about the preparation and implementation of specific international (software/quality) models. Compliance to these international models will help the organization's process infrastructure, performance, personnel/management's understanding and adaptation of organizational objectives and goals, and help the organization's competition within the international marketplace. With my experience with Orion Registrar, Inc., Lockheed Martin, IBM, and others, I have seen many improvements within organizations with the adaptation to these models and increased competition within the marketplace.
I would appreciate your follow up.
Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Edward R. Gardner

Ms. Kristi Grisby:
As a Neighborhood American marketing person you/team may want to survey the US federal government's (oftentimes) pre-requisites for gaining a contract. It's not unusual for the federal government as well as the international marketplace for respondents to provide evidence of ISO 9001 cerification (adopted by the International Organization for Standardization, Geneva, Switzerland) and/or a specific level of CMMI (Capability Maturity Level Integration) as a requisite in qualfying for a bid. The CMMI (as with other CMM maturity models) was established by Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute and are naturally applicable to organizations which practice software engineering/development and related activities. Your/team's research into the necessity and/or viability of adapting to these models are recommended to help the organization's infrastructure as well as being a viable competitor in the international marketplace.
Thank you again. Ed Gadner
